Transcription: This is a marble statue of Benjamin Franklin. He is known for his work as a statesman, scientist, inventor and philosopher. He was a member of the Second Continental Congress, helped draft and signed the Declaration of Independence, and negotiated treaties with France and Great Britain. He lived from 1706 to 1790.
